    Sport seat mounting issue

Need some help folks... I recently bought a pair of sport seats and need to swap out my comfort seats in my 325 sedan.

the sport seats mount point to the floor is all rusted out.
I thought i could use the bottom rail from my comfort seats, but it seems that the rail system is a tad different.

New sport seats have a straight piece of metal which hooks in to the rail where as the comfort seat has a curved piece of metal which hooks in.

This makes the new sport seats a bit narrower.....

is there a fix for this?

So i read up a bit and it seems that there is a difference on how some sport seats are mounted to the rails.

YES, the way all the rails mount to the floor is the same.. BUT it seems that you could run into issues if you try to swap rails from certain sport seats.

The way the seat frame is connected to the rails is different for 2 sets of sport seats I have... so I am unable to swap the rails to fix a rust issue on a pair of sport seats.
