Installed e30 Performance chip and it won't start

Need help! Tried installing factory chip again and it won't start...

Are you sure that it isn't installed backwards? There should be a mark that indicates proper orientation.

Also, you may not be fully seating it. You have to press firmly on it so that the legs seat completely in the socket. When fully seated, the white plastic clip thingy will grip under the black socket on the PCB.

What he said.^ Those little feet on the chip are fraaaagile. Be very careful when removing and replacing.

What chip did you get? MarkD, JConforti, and Sssquid are all awesome. Anything else may be of sketchy origin.

I purchased an ebay one that was doa. If youre sure its installed right put the stock chip back and see if it runs. I was sent a new one by the ebay seller that worked...supposedly they can be screwed up by magnets. But if it is an ebay chip id just recomend getting the real deal. That thing just made me run rich
