    Alright,

RaceReady Performance. I will start out by saying that the solenoid crapped out on me once, and the butterfly valve was stuck shut. Another 70 ish dollar purchase and 20 mins and I was back to normal.

Dump valve was controlled by a solenoid valve, operated with a switch. The switch wasn't on-off, but allowed for incremental opening of the valve.

When closed, my 2.5" catless, resonatorless, vibrant mufflered exhaust was very respectable with low drone, even in my E30, which was stripped significantly of interior stuff.

When opened, Nascar level noise was created. Car could literally be heard for about a mile.

Here is a shot I have from when it was first installed.

Was one of my favorite installed parts. I did however have it installed when my entire exhaust was being created from scratch, which allowed for as good a fit as possible.

If someone wants to do this, do it. It creates two exhausts from one. Plus, there is a significant power increase with valve opened compared to closed.
    My previous build (currently E30-less)
