I have found aftermarket sway brackets with a reinforcing backplate if you would like the link..

Mine has just developed a weird front end clunk too, I'd assumed it was just a ball joint, but going out to check my sway bar mounts now!
I did recently replace my front sway bar links with Meyle HD ones, so maybe mine have also let go?!

Got the car back last night and surprisingly, it drives much better with unblown strut inserts and an attached sway bar!Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? Info, photos, videos, and more can be found at www.michaelsvintageracing.com!

When I did the sway bar links, I did it with the car on ramps, so maybe the link had bound slightly, when I put the car on stands the suspension went to full drop it loosened up? Anyway - all's well that ends well.
Good to hear yours worked out!
