Thought you guys would like this. Just from a pic Cars and Coffee of a friends 965. The single turbo 3.6 makes around 530 bhp. Viscous coupler AWD system out of a 993 twin turbo. It's absolutely nuts.

I was going to say I can't see that it ISN'T a real one - it's got all the signature pieces and workmanship. The only things I see are that the rear bumper guards usually don't have rubber on them, and there's no Singer script on the rear lid, but I assume you can get them any way you want.

I find I have softened just a bit on the big bumper, '74-on cars. It completely depends on how they're set up and detailed, and the engine.

I sort of forgot about the '74, '75 euro Carrera 2.7 MFI, which wasn't sold in the US and is pretty rare I think - I don't see them advertised often.

It's essentially the '73 RS in the newer body. It's low, it's wide, it has the RS flares and big wheels, it's just as fast. Has nothing to do with the US 2.7 with emission injection, heat problems, and pulled head studs. I've never liked the newer steering wheel and seats, but that's easy to fix.

It came with a smooth deck, but many were ordered with the duck tail and later the whale tail.

I just read that it was the fastest NA production road 911 until the late 80s.

Then there's the Carrera 3.0, which I think was the basis for the IROC RSR, which I guess they don't consider "road" above.

Those rear bumper guards have got to go.
