    LS3 Swap (In Progress)

Well I’ve decided to start a thread because I’m bored waiting for parts and bear with me, this is my first build thread.
The car is a 87' 325is and the motor is from a 2010 Camaro SS.
When I’m finished with the swap and it's in daily driver condition I will post up a full parts list for people who are looking to do the same thing.

I ordered this LS3 and tranny off of Ebay. The transmission is a TR6060 so that makes shifter location and drive shaft a little more difficult. The quick fix is ordering some adaptors, custom driveshaft, and welding the shifter to fit through the stock hole.
After inspecting the motor and tranny the only things that were broken were a few miscellaneous connectors and sensors, nothing I shouldn't be able to find in the local junkyard.

My first order of business was a trunion upgrade just for some peace of mind, it was really easy with a press.

Pulling the motor, for my first engine pull only breaking the cruise control is pretty good by my standards.

Pulled the headlight for a cold air intake, I think the chrome really matches the diving boards.

Mishimoto Z3 Radiator and the HUGE K&N filter, I might have some space issues trying to fit that in.

Universal 10 Row Oil Cooler from Mishimoto and a FPR from a C5 vette, my brother used this in his LS1 Chevelle and it was very cheap compared to the aeromotive and other name brand FPR’s.

I also ordered UUC BBK with drilled rotors to help the stopping power but they were on backorder.

Damn going all out with the LS3 I like it. Are the headers Sikky sent you the new style or old. Might post a pic of the ends to make sure you don't have to modify them

Thanks for the info! I'm pretty sure I have the revised version but I'll have to make sure.

Yeah thankfully I have a friend who has a lathe and can fabricate me some adapters. Also, the bleeder is in a real tight spot so I'm getting a remote bleeder to make that less of a hassle.

Today I dropped the front subframe, I am going to drop the car onto the engine like ultimateracing335i did in his LS3 swap. This will make everything much easier and smoother.

This is the E46 rack I picked up at the local junkyard, put on some brand new OEM E36 tie rods. (The BMW dealership is right down the road)

Removed the Steering Column so working on the pedals is much easier. I zip tied the rats nest of wires to help with that too. Also here is the stock Camaro hanging gas pedal. Different than the E30 floor mounted one. Anyone done this? Curious to see as too how you mounted it.
