WTB 89+ 325i/is coupe or sedan

    Got it!

I'm in the market for my first e30. $5,000 is my limit. I live in Pittsburgh but am willing to travel a few hours for the right car, perhaps further if I have friends/family there.

Deal breakers would be rust through or not currently running/driving reliably. Apart from that, I'm not picky about color. I would prefer mostly stock as I'm looking to potentially make this into a long-term full restore, but I guess we'll see where it goes.

ETA: 5 speed transmission is a must.

    Thanks for any assistance.

    Fine with me

It's not my first time owning and wrenching on a BMW. Surface rust i can deal with. Rust holes through the body are a bridge too far.

Nice quip about looking for a Honda, though. Clever.

So not accurate. I just sold an unmodified 89 325i sedan, auto, 199,000 miles, for 2300. Three owner AZ car, so no rust. All major preventative maintenance was less than 1,000 miles old.

Even if the 5 speed swap ran you 1500 dollars you're still in for less than 4k.

It can be done for less than 5k. Easily.

OP keep looking. Something is out there for you.

        Two things.
        1. You're dead wrong.
        2. No need to be an asshole about it.

$5k, no rust, 5-speed, sub 200k miles on the ODOMETER (not speedo, because a speedometer doesn't track mileage) and sport seats.

Good luck with your search OP.
