Been on the lookout for an E30 for a while, this ad popped up around 7 months ago and caught my eye... had to have this one!
My first E30, but certainly won't be last.
- 1991 318is Brilliantrot
- Was resprayed in 2011, closed door but barely noticeable, had decent masking. Quality paint job with the minor blemishes, the odd imperfection but nothing major. Still single stage paint, no complaints though.
- Engine
- M44 (Has to my knowledge an M42 intake, but that's all I can confirm) if the speedo is anything to go off it has 274,000km's but highly doubt it resembles the engine k's. 260,000kms at time of purchase roughly 7 months ago.
- Full custom exhaust, inclusive of headers. Nothing flash, not too loud, just enough to enjoy
- AFAIK Mark D chip on a M42 ECU, not entirely sure on the specifics with how or how well this works with the M44
- Wheels
15x7.5 Front BBS RS - 205/55 Yokohama S Drive
15x8.5 Rear BBS RS - 225/50 Nexen CP641
- Suspension
- Bilstein Sport Shocks with Standard King Springs
- Whiteline Front + Rear Swaybar
- Majority of the bushings replaced with OEM or similar quality
-Interior
- Cloth Sports seats
Hope to slowly add more to the list,
when I purchased the car I wasn't aware
that the engine was an M44,
but didn't take long to put the
pieces together and work it out.
Either way it doesn't bother me,
I have the every intention of going to a M50 at a later stage.
Purchased some used Ground Control Coilovers
recently as the first major modification,
at a really really good price.
Missing mounting hardware,
but GC were really easy to deal with and got replacements coming.
