    Convertible top gap!

Hello every one, after months of the mechanic having my e30 vert, I finally have my baby.. I'm new to the e30 world. I was cleaning the inside of my car I notice these gap in back of my convertible top and the back of the seats , is this normal ?

I think it's totally normal. Mine has them too. I think the little "brushes" are supposed to block that out, but mine looks just like yours.

I took the rubber seal off my spare top frame and am planning to glue a piece to the one on the car in the hopes of closing off that gap. If anyone has tried that would be useful to hear the results

nothing you can do about it. originally there was a brush type insert in there. i spoke to an expert when i was fixing up my top and he said just leave it alone. with all the moving parts its not worth trying to cover it without ruining something else
