Can I run these tires on a 16x8.5 with just springs on the car or will it rub even if the fenders are rolled and pulled

225 40 16 is a smaller diameter than the stock tires on bottlecaps.
To me, a beefy tire would be 225 50 16 which would be more of a thick sidewall and wide track. Like this:
