GB - Black Cloth Headliner **Closing Sun 3/25**

I'm going to put in the cloth order next Monday, so the GB will close out Sunday, March 25th. Also, I cut the price of the Alcantara a bit - fine tuned my yardage calculation.

    Final choices are:
    1. Microfiber in black, $125
    2. Alcantara in midnight black (very dark grey), $295

Also, for those that want to do their rear shelf, you can add $30 for microfiber and $60 for Alcantara and I will include enough extra cloth for you to cover it.

Please have your payment to paypal@carartunlimited.com with your specific order to me by then. Thanks!
    Rob

Here is the list so far. I've put what I think you want in brackets, if its clear. I won't ask for $ until we have at least 5 for sures.
    -sweetride01 (Alcantara+rear shelf) - PAID
-deansbimmer (microfiber, maybe Alcantara) - PAID
    -E30 groupie
-ldsbeaker (Alcantara, +rear shelf) - PAID
    -kilomph (Alcantara)
    -Jean (microfiber)
    -Maniacmatt (microfiber) - PAID
    -ak96ss (Alcantara+rear shelf) - PAID

If you haven't already, let me know on this thread or pm if you are a definite and which fabric.

    Details:
Given the popular response for a returned headliner in the FS section, it looks like there might be enough interest for a GB on an E30 headliner.

To make it simple, it will be black cloth (with colors we get into matching problems). Specify 1) sunroof or not, and 2) M or non-M (E30 only). If we can get 5 in the GB, price will go from the usual $175 plus shipping to $125 shipped (in the US). That includes the sunroof cover too (if you have one).

    Here is a pic:

Also, as indicated in this thread, Alcantara available for $325 shipped in the GB.

If you would like a sample of the material, just pm your mailing address.

Please respond here or via pm. Also list any questions or concerns here so we can all address them.

    Thanks,
    Rob

Would the price drop on an alcantara one if I wanted that?

Don't get too excited. Alcantara is usually about double the cost of the regular ones.

Right you are! Reg. price for Alcantara is $375 plus shipping. If we got 5 Alcantara orders together I could do it for $325 shipped. A bit better, but Alcantara is just very expensive, no way around it.

Installing one of these on a 4 door should be cake compared to the coupes, no? If so, i'm in. Depending on how much OT I get in the upcoming weeks, I might be in for an Alcantara too.

I am so ready to get one.

              ... in two months.

p.s. I <3 my shift and e-brake boots, I'm sure that the quality of the headliner will be awesome, too.

I could swing $125 for a black headliner I think...

How about making one for an E28 with sunroof? I'd be more interested in that especially if you could do close to $125 shipped.

I'd need your E28 old headliner and SR cover first, as I don't have a template for that one. But doable...

I think I may be able to do this one. How many more people do we need at this point?

Well, looks like we have some good interest but no definites. We need 5 for each type of material (ie 5 black cloth, or 5 alcantara).

                        Should I list the "maybes"?

Would you be able to do an alternate color on the stitching?
I'm looking for red stitching with black alcantara

how big of a pain in the ass is it to swap the headliners in a coupe? that would be the only thing holding me back from picking this up. Installing it without having 60,000 wrinkles in the headliner.
