it doesnt look like it but this shit weighs a TON

i put the trunk mat back it to keep stuf in place back there (iDrift)


i also took out that piece or cardboard behind the seats and the batt cover. im going to take out the side,back pieces of carpet and spray on some trunk liner to keep the DB down as well as weight.

just put in my $35 eBay chip. flaming is for flamers so dont flame you flamer. i havent ever chipped a car before but i do know that for $40 and a 15min install time its deff worth it. dont know exact numbers but it claims to do the same as all the name brand chips so w/e. i can feel a good increase in power mostly mid/top end

You start with an eta, add a LSD (3.73 would be fun,) MarkD chip, and an exhaust. Later on if you consider a 2.7i, keep the LSD and exhaust and MarkD has a chip for that swap too.

What did you do with the seats from the Dub? Car looking good so far, don't continue the stripes. Looks like your putting in quality parts. I know you don't wanna hear it but the chip is a bad idea. I mean who makes it? Or it could just be a copy of someone else's chip which screws things up for everyone else. Go with the Mark D.

the seats from the VW are going in the bimmer. Recaro trophies FTMFW well the fronts at least. maybe see how the rears will fit (that would make my life)

thanks e34john for being the first sivalized person to say something in a mature manor about the chip. i just bought it without worries. i figured the motor has 270+k miles on it. its either going to stop running from wear or its one of those lucky motors that WONT die. either way the chips still in,its still running,it still has more power than stock.$35 im happy . i would like to find a local with a MarkD chip that will let me test to see if there is a noticable difference.

but for anyone that cant tell i am putting all my money in the suspension first. like the Prielli mato "Power is nothing without control"

Yea those seats are awesome. You should get them recovered once everything else gets sorted out. Mtech inserts with black bolsters or something. You got an Eta that motor is never going to die. Don't know what the MarkD would do for your car, infact it could be a MarkD copy, I am just saying you should support the guys who support our cars. Thats the only way we will get more products.

Don't forget to reinforce the rear swaybar link and keep us updated. I love alpine Alpine BMWs.
