this is how i feel about alfa romeo. every time i see a cool one on craigslist that i really want, i just hit myself in the dick really hard with a baseball bat. i figure its better to get the pain and heartache out of the way immediately and keep several thousand dollars in my wallet at the same time. its actually a win-win when you look at it that way.

Well you never know honestly. My E30 I never thought was going to make it past 150,000 miles when I got it but it just turned over 170,000 and still going.

Although there is no price tag on the E30, the car has too much sentimental value. But on the other hand there is a price for the Range Rover. If someone said here's ~$4000 I would sell it in a heartbeat seeing as I only paid $2600.

Lies, that is what the E30 was before it was promoted to just project (or demoted...)

            All cars have problems.

The key to happiness is finding one that has the problems you can live with

I had one a few years ago, it had a troubled past life but was a good running Rover that served its purpose for me. I love p38's and Rovers in general, I have now owned a D1 and two RRC's in addition to my old p38 over the last few years. They get a really bad rap most of the time, and sometimes for good reason. If you get one that hasn't been cared for you're in for a lot of work to get it to where you want it to be, and then it still needs some work. The biggest problem for p38's is that a lot of them have fallen into the hands of those who like to slap 24" chrome rims on them and beat the hell out of them while also neglecting them and depriving them of any required maintenance these trucks desperately need.

I eventually sold mine to a buddy because mine was probably more suited for dedicated off-road duty. I'd get one in a heartbeat if I didn't already have my RRC. These are some of the most capable off-road and snow trucks out there and they still look great.

It looks like you got yourself one of the better ones, and the price is good too. Even better that you're a capable wrencher, and the parts aren't that expensive.
