    Engine not catching

So I have an 87 325is with the two fuel pumps intank/external I replaced both pumps and fuel filter and the car with not start I have spark at the plugs but still not starting. I took off the fuel line and fuel was not coming out but when I would turn the key off fuel would spit out of hose going from fuel pump to fuel filter, but when cranking no fuel at all. Intank pump is working. Any suggestions?

When I had this problem, it was a dead battery, maybe you could try that.

Check the polarity of the fuel pump, maybe you wired positive for the negative at the pump, also check whether the pressure and the return lines at the pump are crossed.
