                Yes they have that ASA 800 or 1000+ graininess ( film speed ASA is similar to ISO for those that dont remember 35mm) look too them as well as a generally slightly to areas that are very overexposed. I cant tell if he has over cooked them in post specifically for this effect or is just shooting everything at ISO12500 or in a higher extended range and has run out of shutter speed, to get some extra noise in them. I suspect highly its the former as I dont really see much actual noise.

                That said I like the film look, as 35mm has cretin "look" to it that you cant seem to get anywhere even in post with LR or PS with digital, you can get close but not there. This seems to be done for the effect and artsy-ness of it, and many of them are overdone to me.
