    New E30 Convertible

Hey guys just picked up my e30. It is in great shape!!!. The only thing is that I need a new top. I have seen that they sell a lot online ranging from $300-600. Which one do you recommend to buy. I don't want to buy a crappy one. Are they all the same?

the brand you are looking for is Robbins, the best. The rest is a random shot.

GAHH is also good quality. They supply a lot of high end OEM materials.

OEM is best, but make sure you're sitting down when you see the price
Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

Which one did you end up going with? I'm in the same boat and need to purchase one. Looks like both suggestions are on ebay for about the same price.

Hi guys, I just bought and installed a Robbins on my vert. The quality is amazing!! Keep in mind the oem top did not have a rear sealing spring, it had a hard plastic rail that kept the shape. The new Robbins also had this plastic. I'm going to guess that tops that come with the rear sealing spring are inferior as the spring will sag as it gets older and you may end up with the annoying gap between the top and boot lid.

Best option - Take a road trip to Jersey and have James (a.k.a. 'fuzzysux') set you up. He did mine last summer and it is wonderful.

Don't forget to replace the tensions straps while you're doing the work.

                      Looks great!

I ended up getting a used top that has done the trick (over the old one) but i can slowly starting to fall apart as well. Probably within the next year it'll be time to finally redo it.
