I have some info and some questions about obd2 wiring changes. Previously I have made a thread like this about c101 wiring for mixed year engine swaps.

Ok so first question that comes up for me. Fuel economy gauge. x6031-3 goes to x6000-46 and is labeled TI blah blah fuel consumption. x20-24 goes to x6000-9 and is labeled TI blah blah fuel consumption. Is there any way in hell that BMW put in redundant fuel consumption signals? There is some speculation that x6031-3 is the vehicle speed wire, can anyone confirm this?
Next question, x20-9 (x6000-15)is an ABS level speed signal. Does this wire require signal to keep codes from popping up? Is it another wire on the x6000?
any other tips?
