SOLD 325is Coupe 5-speed w/ fresh rebuilt stroker M20 SOLD

    SOLD

This is a well-sorted, daily driver-ready 325is. The motor is a freshly rebuilt (less than 4,000 mi) M20 with the coveted Super Eta bottom end, and Bimmerheads' custom ported 2.5 head and 274 cam. I really think this motor gives you the best of both worlds from the 2.5 and 2.7, and it’s perfectly set up for boost, if you were so inclined. The interior is clean, the paint is decent, the stance is just right for an OEM+ look...it gets tons of compliments and random "Nice E30!" shout-outs almost every time I take it out. Car is in the Los Angeles/North Hollywood area. PM me for contact info.

    Known history:
I've owned this car for just a year and a half, and sadly it's time to part ways due to changing circumstances. I have over $11,000 invested, so, as they say...my loss is your gain! Previous owner for 5 years was an independent BMW mechanic, and he tackled lots of big jobs, like rebuilding the shifter, refreshing the suspension (at a minimum the control arms, tie rods, sway bars, and bushings were replaced). The owner previous to him worked at a Mini dealership, and installed the goofy Mini sidemarkers on the front fenders as his legacy (they're quirky for sure, but I find that they're distinctive and no one forgets the car!) The odometer stopped rolling at 229,000mi, and it is a salvage title. I can't confirm, but I believe the car was in some kind of fender-bender causing it to be written off since it was more than 15 years old at that point...I don't believe it was anything serious, since it's been going strong for almost 10 years since salvage. I am not aware of frame damage and the only rust I know of is contained to a few superficial spots.

    Mechanical:
-M20B27 hybrid (or Super Eta stroker? I don't know what to call it, really). It’s still a new motor with less than 4000 mi. Super Eta bottom end, ported 885 head (by BimmerHeads), 274 cam. Professional rebuild with as many new components as feasible, including:
-BimmerHeads SSSquid chip tune in the Motronic 1.3 ECU.
    -New Ireland HD rockers
    -Refurbished air flow meter
    -New water pump and thermostat
    -New timing belt and tensioner
    -New vacuum and coolant hoses
    -New 17-lb injectors
    -New O2 sensor
-New 50-state catalytic converter and middle exhaust pipe
    -New Ireland catback exhaust
    -New Ireland plug wires
    -New OEM Sachs clutch kit
    -New flex-disc a.k.a. guibo
    -Rebuilt driveline center support bearing
-New Hawk brake pads/new rear rotors one year ago
    -New AGM 760-CCA battery
    -New alternator voltage regulator
-New power steering pump and reservoir
-Many new suspension components by previous owner
-Sport shifter kit with new bushings by previous owner
    -OE 325is 3.73 LSD

    Exterior:
-All the late-model 325is body stuff…plastic bumpers, front and rear valence, fog lights, rear lip spoiler, etc.
-Headlights: Smoked crosshair smileys with Morimoto Mini-H1 projectors, Morimoto 35W ballasts, and Morimoto 4500K bulbs. The headlights are brand new. I retrofitted the projectors with Squared Motorwerks' kit. The high-beams are currently wired to the shutters in the projectors but you can use the reflector high-beams by simply swapping the 9006 connectors behind the lights. It’s a sweet setup that puts out great light with a sharp cutoff that won’t blind other drivers.
-Lowered slightly on yellow Konis and Bilstein springs
-15" Euroweaves, refinished last year, including new center caps
-Falken ZE912 tires, less than a year old
-CravenSpeed stubby radio antenna with the Z3 antenna base
-Zinnoberrot. Paint is about a 7/10. Some oxidation on the roof. Front panels are very slightly darker than the rest of the car. Sight paint cracking on spoiler. Some paint flaking off the blacked-out trim around the doors.

    Interior:
    -Working A/C (R-134a converted)
    -Sport interior
-Cup holder center console by Stephen from r3v
-Front seats were previously recovered in high-quality vinyl
-Back seat is an OEM leather one in like-new condition
-Carpets are in decent shape. All they need is a good steam clean
-Car will come with a crack-free dash
-JVC KDR80BT radio with Bluetooth and two aux inputs (a nice feature of this head unit is that you can change the color of the button and display backlights to match the E30 interior lighting)
-Kenwood amp in the trunk and Alpine speakers all around (fronts and tweeters don’t work at the moment because one of the RCA output cables to the amp went bad…should be an easy fix)
-New ZHP shift knob, shift boot, and E-brake boot with colored stitching
    -M-Tech steering wheel
-Rear view mirror with map lights
-Replaced all interior light bulbs in center panel and console
    -13-button OBC

A trunk full of extra parts for you:
-Current sunroof panel has some rust. I have a new sunroof panel that just needs to be painted, with a clean interior panel and a new sunroof seal to go with it.
-Crack-free dash. It’s not in the car yet but I’m willing to install it for you.
-K&N cone filter and cone filter adapter (car has the stock airbox now)
-I was preparing to do an audio overhaul on the car at some point, so I have a pair of nice front speaker grills and tweeter delete panels.
-I have a clean 4-spoke plastic steering wheel.
-I have a set of black 16" TSW wheels with Sumitomo HTRZ tires that were on the car when I purchased it. I can put them on the car for you, or you can buy them from me for $400 if you want a second set (for track tires or whatever).
-Intake manifold in good condition with unknown injectors
-Used shorty exhaust headers of unknown origin
    -Lightweight aluminum strut tower brace

Gorgeous. Sadly, I won't have my e30 car buying budget for another month.

Very nice! I love seeing an expensive e30 that may actually be worth it!

My butt dyno says it's a noticeable improvement starting off the line. The extra torque is definitely there. Never had a chance to get it on a real dyno, but I hope the future owner will have that opportunity!

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

Why? It shouldn't be an issue on a nice car that's this old and has had that much work done on it.

E30's are greatly undervalued by insurance companies and they'll slap a salvage title on it for minor stuff (theft recovery, stolen seats, minor accident, etc).
