    MS1 thoughts?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Currently installing my turbo kit that I've pieced together. It's an 87 early model ES.

I have everything for it except for the engine management. Have been saving for the Megasquirt PNP standalone from DIYtune for $800 but have stumbled into a MS1 standalone pnp for basically free. Was running on a local board members car without issues about 6 years ago, hasn't been used since, made 350whp on a 2.7 stroker turbo.

Comes with all supporting hardware except for the main wiring harness at the back of the ecu - I've contacted DIY to see if I can buy the wiring harness that will plug into the e30 wiring harness going from the MS.

Wondering if I should even bother with trying to run this or just save up and get the MS2 PNP made for our e30's from DIY. I've read reviews that the MS2 is much easier to work with and runs much better on our e30's.

    Thank you!

I personally don't prefer ms1 because it's quite hard to get working and it's lacking some important features. The ms2 is much easier for beginner and then ms3 starts to be too complicated. It's good for more advanced tuners.

Here is cheaper option of ms2 Pnp unit: http://www.k-data.org/kdfi-pnp-bmw-m20.html

Do anyone know if someone makes an adapter that would go from the MS to the e30 stock wiring harness? I know I can buy the connected off DIYautotune but wondering if someone actually takes the time to set them up for a plug n play type harness for our cars.

        Thanks!
