Can French lights be polished? Or will that damage the yellow tint? Got a set with a ton of chips.

Polishing headlight lenses
Most honest to God French headlights are not tinted with a coating, they are a type of glass with the yellow color in the glass itself.Originally posted by mr2peak View Post

Maybe the right question to ask is, "Is there a coating with the same index of refraction as the glass, that will fill in the chips invisibly without altering the output beam pattern?"
That said, headlight film is maybe a good interim answer; I believe the adhesive fills in the smaller chips, and it will protect them from further damage. If you want a set, send me an email or PM, I have plenty.Andy says "Be Seen, and Not Hurt!"
