'86 325iX 3.1 Stroker Turbo '86 S38B36 325
No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

Now that you guys bumped my thread I'll include some pics with original suspension and Hartge 16x7,5 wheels. They do fit after all :)
I should really get that front valance painted (or whatever it should be called).. But fortunately iX does not seem to look all that horrible with stock suspension and Hartges... :) Just made another investment for the iX - Remus rear silencer coming up next week.
And now since editing this post - thank you everybody for kind words!Last edited by H-M; 05-16-2015, 03:08 AM.--

You sir have the two cleanest examples of cars I've ever seen. People who call there cars "mint" should be ashamed while compared to yours. That convertible is the nicest stock example I've ever seen posted on here. Please take care of them for many more years to come :D

Nothing major new on the iX, but just an update because of some polish and wax :). And painted lower valances front and back. 160 000 kilometers (100 000 miles, that is) accomplished just yesterday. Wanting to buy e36 ALPINA B3, but probably not wanting to part ways with the iX (I want to have an e30 and I guess I won't find a better example easily in the future). But I sold the cabriolet, happily to a new owner that will take good care of it, but was a hard decision. I somehow am/was more fond of the iX even with the higher miles. I also decided I am not using iX next winter except on the really fine (yet slippery :)) cold days.
Velour carpets coming tomorrow as well as a leather boot for the handbrake lever (already have the leather handle from e34 I think).

Has anyone with lazurblau e30 noticed how violet it actually is in the sun? This picture does not really show it since we have had hardly any sun this summer in Finland (slight exaggeration) but one of the sunnier days I'll take a shot of it beside my new acquisition: techno violet ALPINA B3 (shown in garage). They are actually very close in certain light!
BTW, I recently bought ALPINA 16" replicas for the 325iX (RG, very good replicas by the way), sold them, and now bought the real ones. Had to pay some serious money, though...

Doing some iX tasks :) Driveshaft and transfer case mating looking good without any additional lengthening. I am pretty sure that the parts are original so at least 100 000 miles is possible without any real damage with the original solution. The glittering greasy looking stuff there is rustproofing, nothing is leaking... In the background of the first picture you can see original metric wheels with Michelin TDX I guess from 1989 :) Let's say that the driving feel is far from optimal with them...
And an added bonus, my other car. Best possible combination for me - e30 and e36 :)
