    M42 head bolt re-torque

I put the head back on my car last weekend and tightened down the head bolts to the bentley specs (22 ft/lb, +90 degrees, +90 degrees).

Is it necessary to re-torque the head bolts? If so, after how many miles should I do it, and to what specs?

What did I miss, Ken? You car only has 270,000 on it.

          Long story short:
The car was down for 5 weeks due to what ended up being hardened carbon deposits on the exhaust valve seats. The exhaust valves couldnt seat properly, so there wasn't sufficient compression for comubstion even though we had spark and fuel (and the cams were timed properly).

$550 later, it's back up and running.
