88 528e 5 speed in 90 325iA?

I want to convert my 90 325i Auto to a 5sp, and I've come across a tranny from an 88 528e that I can get for free. I was under the impression that this would bolt up just fine, is this correct and is it a Getrag 260?

Also, what other parts could I swap over from the 88 528e? Thanks!

Good to go. 528e used the 260 after some time in '83. Before that they used the 265.

Awesome! Do you think it would be stupid to put a transmission in that has almost 300k miles? This is a car that I probably won't have for too much longer, the swap will be more of just a learning experience for me.

I'll probably be getting the entire 528e for free, so what else could i swap in regards to the drivetrain? The flywheel I guess I could have machined down to a good weight, the driveshaft I will need from an e30 however since the length is different, correct? Can I use the pedals, master/slave cylinders, etc.? Anything else?
