      For sure. On the uphill slop to re-assembly now. Ordering cam, valve springs, HD rockers, gaskets, adjustable cam gear, head studs, crank scraper and oil pan baffle. Pistons are almost done getting matched to the stroker crank. This is the interesting part. ;-)

                Did you measure the deck height, you have it listed as 206.7mm I've measured a few and I think 206.2mm is closer to the mark. The 206.7mm is the stack height ( rod+throw+piston compression height) but piston sit above deck by approx 0.5mm
                89 E30 325is Lachs Silber - currently M20B31, M20B33 in the works, stroked to the hilt...

                    Digger, have not measured it yet. Getting to the "clean room" assembly stage now so that's in my plan. I've seen conflicting info on 206.7 and 206.2 so will be interesting to put it to bed. If it ends up being 206.2 I'm still golden, because the crank/rod/piston compression height is 206.2. (Going from memory) Compression will increase a bit due to lower combustion chamber volume, but I've got a .120" MLS head gasket to compensate. Will post the results.

                      Rebuild parts have started arriving:

                      Schrick 284/272 billet cam (0056 01 840 00) Increases valve lift over stock by 1.3 mm on intake and 0.9 mm on exhaust.

                      Schrick 002 02 090 single coil valve springs: 95 lbs @ 11.5mm lift vs. 75 lbs @ 10.5mm lift for stock.

                          Wow! Great work! Read the whole thread yesterday. Wish I had time and money to devote to a project like this.

                            It's affordable if you do the work yourself. Can't avoid some new parts costs (cam etc) but there are a lot of cheap parts on Craigslist if you are patient and look every day. My stroker crank was free, 130mm rods $40, suspension $200, block paint $30. The parts guy at Korman even joked "Wow. You're really squeezing the cost out of this." Well, any fool can throw a truckload of money at a car. I'm just spending where it counts. The Big Money will be roll cage (because you don't scrimp on safety) and a Canyon Crusher turbo kit, because it just works. :devil: Anyway, it's a great hobby. I'm looking forward to building the racing dash and making a lightweight custom wiring harness. Will post how-to instructions for these as well.

                                I've been in the market for an engine, even an unmodified Eta that I could do a refresh/rebuild on, so I can have it ready to install when my original Eta says it's time to go... but right now, she's at 439K km and is showing no signs of slowing down.

                                Talking to a guy outside Toronto from a Canadian forum who is selling a stroker... needs to be put back together and a some parts, but just might be the ticket. He's given a couple options, running it either N/A or turbo. I'm still new to performance type stuff - my main concern, since my E30 is my DD is that things are reliable, but I'd love to be having more fun than I already am. :) And I'm definitely not afraid of doing my own wrenching... this car has only seen a shop 3 times since I've owned it. All the major work I've done.
