    Is this normal?

I was taking apart, cleaning and securing my intake system (air filter, box, intake boots, hoses).
So my throttle body looked a bit grimy, I figured i'd crank it over and give it a little spray of starter fluid. The engine cranked over and sputtered, soon as the spray hit it, the engine started rev'n up like crazy. After 5 seconds I decided to turn it off.
Is this normal, should i try and start it. Is it ok to let it burn off with the engine so high rev'd?

Your trottle position sensor is going to get screw up. I suggest you remove it and let the fluid drain. Clean your throttle body without the tps attach.

Cool, I took the tb off and wiped it all down on both sides, got the butter fly cleaned. Put it back on and it starts right now.
      Thanks.
