I would have been incline to buy a transmission from a junk yard. They usually offer a 30 day warranty. My mechanic did that and yup, the tranny was defective after they said it was okay.
They gave him a replacement. No extra charge from my end, the mechanic absorbed the cost since he relied on the info from the salvage yard.
Buying from a used party is always tricky, as long as you know potentially, it might not work, then there is no harm. These auto tranny especially are known to fail, so it was just a bad idea all the way around.
Might be a good idea to do a speed swap, these auto trannies are nearly 30 years ago and probably dont have enough life in them anyway.
i had spent my last dollar to fix the car, it was a very good car but i was going through very hard financial times after our company shutdown. i had no option but to sell it.
im financially stable now but i lost my beloved car, thank you for everyone that tried to help. maybe one day i can have a good bmw again.
