Pitch those crimpers in the trash, pronto.

Channel lock or Snap-On, Klien in a pinch.

Bay looks great. Booster in white is pretty damn cool, too.

4 days ago i started filling and massaging out all the dents, yesterday we just sprayed a second coat of filler primer and finished blocking the whole car for the second time in my 10x20 pepboys tent. Today is gonna be some phresh alpine2 and a very nice urethane clearcoat over that.

Also just finished half the 3" ss downpipe of the two sets I am doing, and routed and tig welded the external wastegate setup

Still have to paint, clear, install motor/trans, fab up an exhaust (stainless mandrel yay), work out any bugs in the revised MS setup..hopefully before saturday.

the fastest semi-complete paintjob, been working 11am-1am everyday for the last 2 weeks..the skin on my hands have essentially hardened into plastic.

I have only today and tomorrow til Bfest........off to work for another day of preparation :D

plz explain nice urethane clear over alpine 2. I tried a body shop quality clear over a single stage black once and it came out terribly. Granted I don't know shit about painting so there are many ways I could have gone wrong, but do you need a special kind of clear to sit nicely on top of a single stage color?

What if you wanted to clear over a rustoleum type enamel? (want to spray some wheels).

Thanks man, and awesome project / craftsmanship

we are using two stage base/clear, mixed at the local paintshop.

                      some update pics.

Mike3 (Paukert11) fuckin up my paint lolz jk

BTW if anyone ever installs a spoiler DO NOT GLUE IT TO YOUR TRUNKLID

i bolted mine down, but it still wasn't secure with the stock mounting, so i permanently attached it with some adhesives, thinking...or lack of it..sigh. hence the ghetto masked off wing.

badass! what type of compressor are you using for the hvlp? i'd like to put together a setup in my garage but its too small for a 220v 60-gal stand up. that's prolly what you have though
