I was trying to replace the worn oem rubber throttle and cruise cable bushings on my S14 and ran into a roadblock. I was to the point of installing the aluminum bushings but they won't thread on. I checked with a bolt that was same size as threaded plastic tube and it went right thru bushing. When I try to thread it on it starts to cut the threads. There is no difference between bmw that have these bushings so don't know why it's not screwing on. Anybody have issues with these garagistic bushings?

I purchased these for my e30 m3 with an s14-must admit they were a pain in the butt to install but they are on! -
I don't recall having any big issues with them.
