              Looks like the passenger made contact with the dashboard as well. No seat belts, or do you really travel that far forward in an accident in these cars? Looks like the seat belt is more for feels than for actual safety if they were wearing them.

                e30's aren't "safe cars". They were designed with more active safety systems vs passive safety systems.

                An example of a passive system would be Volvo.
                If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

                        They were not wearing seat belts for sure. I totaled one of my e30s and the seat belt keep me so snug. It was very impressive!

                            I second this, also there tend to absorb frontal impact quite well: with amazing rebuild-ability.

                                The nose of an E30 really IS designed to soak up the G's so you don't.

                                Makes them kind of fragile on the track, though...
