New Exhaust - Euro (w/o Cat)

Has anyone ever considered just going with the European stock exhaust (pre cat version)? They are about $490 from Schmiedmann and about $90 to ship (Update - can also order from ECS Tuning for about the same price and the shipping is quite a bit less). The Euro E30 325i sounds nice in stock form. This is the route I am considering for my E30 Cab. I just need to figure out how to add the single O2 sensor - I may have to fab a small H'pipe with an O2 bung somewhere (Update - Instead of an H pipe, I just had a bung welded to the down pipe for cylinders 4-6.)

I don't even know what this reply means...

But what I do know, is that I just installed this exact system purchased from ECS Tuning and it sounds fantastic! The fit is perfect. The sound is not too loud, not too soft. Fantastic value.

So you have euro downpipes and resonator with no cats? OE muffler?

It sounded tempting at first until I got to the price.

Edit: That being said I would be interested in a sound clip.

            Hi,
It’s a been a few years since you posted this so wondering how the exhaust has held up? Would you still recommend it?

            Thanks.
