Think about it. If the 14th Amendment is repealed, how would you be an American citizen? Are you going to replace it with a law stating that if your parents are citizens, and you're born in the country, then you're a citizen? What if your parents LEGALLY immigrated to this country, as so many of ours have, and have you, a baby, before they obtain citizenship? In that case, you are not recognized as a citizen of your parents' original country, but neither would you be a citizen of the US.

Or is the point to say "you're a citizen if you are born in the US unless you're brown skinned or from Latin/South America?"

Do people abuse the system? Yes. Is repealing an Amendment to the Constitution going to solve it? No, it'll only open up a new can of worms, tie up taxpayer resources to fight inevitable legal battles, and prove that the Republicans are heartless xenophobic racists.

To say this idea is childish is a gross understatement. Something needs to be done to prevent the abuse of the system, yes, but denying citizenship? Hardly.
