Upper exhaust shield studs rusted/splines stripped..any tips on holding up the shield

? It's the shield right above the muffler

Right now one screw is holding it up (for now), but the 2-3 other studs are stripped/rusted to the point it doesn't hold a nut.

Any clamps out there i might be able to use that i can slip over the stud?

Thanks for the offer bud! I actually ordered these VW locking washers from ecs that came in the mail today. Gonna try these out, since the studs are skinny (the ones u have are def too large but thanks!). I'll update this if it works so others can use if u have the same issue

BMW sell the studs in case you want to replace them (re-weld)?

broke the nuts off mine to the point where i doubt i'll be able to get vice grips on them. is the frame threaded where they turn in? if i drill them out will i have to re-thread or just use sheet metal screws?
