Walbro Fuel Pump / M42 Specific

I see a lot of write ups about the Walbro pumps for E30. My question is which model is best recommended for a stock M42. I do have a 93 octane chip installed. Not for nothing, I ordered the Walbro GSS340 per the DIY write up on forum. It does not match up with my 91 E30 M42 oem connection configuration.

My oem pump seems to have an outlet and flow back hose.

Heard about the Tre, but I'm already committed to Walbro. Any info on the best model for my needs would be appreciated. Thanks team. Cheers!............. G.

Slight mods, including wiring on the tank holder are necessary for aftermarket fuel pumps in these cars. See my post here: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...2&postcount=78

I believe the pump I used is the same dimensionally to the Walbro you have. If not, I have seen installations in E30s where it was necessary to cut the bottom bracket off and use a hose clamp to hold the pump to the support/return pipe
