    Just bought an E32 735i 5 spd!

picked up a delphin metallic BMW 735i MANUAL transmission:D

    drove beautifully throughout all gears.

will need brake pads and potentially exhaust.

some scratches but no surface rust.

has been stored indoors and driven infrequently since 2008.

1 owner prior to last owner, I'm the 3rd.

was asking $4K I picked it up for $800:pimp:

gonna just drive this one. nothing else.

$4k to $800 is a pretty steep discount. There has to be more to this.

no GOOD pics, but here's the link to the add.

the seller is the owner of a masonery restoration company...I think they've got $$$ and just wanted to get rid of it
I went over the car for about 40 minutes while it sad there idling on the mental hot/humid day we had a couple days ago.

The AC doesn't work, but everything else electronically checks out.
has receipts for recent front end work, clutch 3 years ago and years of rust proofing.

after my thorough inspection, I thanked the seller and was about to head on my way.
He asked "well are you interested" I replied "yes, but not at $4000...do you have a revised price"

he goes "throw a number out"

I replied "due to the high mileage, I can do $800"

he paused for a sec and said "yep might aswell"

I have owned 2 myself 1 euro model and other US version, my question is how many miles since mentioned "high miles" to get owner from $4k-$800. Excellent score! I might have parts you might be intrested with your new 7 series

sitting at just under 186miles, or 300Km's

              it's high-ish....but not really for a properly maintained M30.

              and thanks about the parts:)

i'm gonna focus on just getting her plated and on the road, work out the cobwebs...

MAYBE down the road, some suspension work and nice period correct wheels...oem+ kind of thing

Wow! Nice!!! Sounds like a revised manual version of the car you were looking at two weeks ago.

I guess you just bought a good running car for the price of a swap.

                  Indeed!

If talking about my M30 swap in my e30...I'm just south of the $5500 mark now after everything.

                        Talked out of a E23 and into a E32.

                        Great job.

186k that's not bad I had some BMWs with 300k and 2 with over 400k rusted and smoking, an excellent find in deed I thought it had some enormous amount of km's on it.lol

Well how about that! I had an e32 5/speed too! There was only 750 imported into the US (not sure about Canada) and I've seen two others over the years pop up on the east coast.

I bought mine for $800 also, it was a '91 and ran great- it was just hard to find interior bits and pieces for it. Electrical issues, CSB was a bitch to replace and a sticky throttle cable was scary as shit.

I'm glad I don't own it anymore, but it was my first BMW that got me into this whole hobby of mine ;)

Here she was...and where it sat after I sold it for $500 and the new owner blew the headgasket and scrapped it.
