    AC / Recirc switch lighting

Did a search, can't find a solid answer. Is the switch supposed to light up with the dash lights, or just when you a press a button? I'm doing a dash swap and want everything working right, thanks!

Yes, same as the A/C. Defrost and hazard switches do illuminate with lights on.

I swear the '84 I owned 15 years ago had a switch that lit up just like the defrost and hazards, then got brighter if you pushed a button in. But since then, haven't seen one like it. If you take the switch apart, there's a resistor soldered in there that might have something to do with it. Maybe the resistor fails, causing them to only illuminate in the on position. Oh sh** my OCD is flaring up now...
