    o2 q....what. Again

    Sorry about all these o2 q's...I've a '94 540 (obd1) conversion with 2 o2 sensors b4 and no cat.
Does anyone know for sure if it matters whether theo2 sensors are connected up or not?

Yes it matters. The pre-cat sensors are in the feed back loop for mixture control. The DME uses that data to adjust fuel trim. Without that sensor data the DME will default to rich (conservative) fuel map.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Thanks Jlevie. I thought so and have seen this thread where the same is echoed.
