1991 BMW e30 318is
Hey,
It is a sad day. I am selling my awesome 1991 BMW e30 318is. I have owned this car for a little over a year and drive it regularly. It's a great car. I'm only selling because I'm thinking of getting a truck or a van and I don't want to have two cars in the city.
248,000 miles on Chassis
183,000 miles on a 1995 318i engine (installed 09/2015)
Passed smog recently.
No rust (California car)
The Bad:
There is a vibration coming from the exhaust at around 2800rpm that I haven't fixed
There is a vibrating metal sound that I haven't fixed (I think it's a heat shield)
Sun damaged paint
Cracked dash
Some cracks on the instrument panel
Passenger side front fender is a little wrinkled
Front valance is a little bent
At time of purchase from previous owner, Nov 2015:
All of these parts changed at time of swap:
Timing chain and all guides
Timing chain tensioner
Valve cover gasket
Rear main seal
Rear crankshaft seal
Timing cover gaskets
Front crankshaft seal
Oil pan gaskets, upper and lower
All new vacuum lines
Z4 shift lever and all new bushings
E36 M3 control arm bushings
New control arms
New tie rod assemblies
New transmission mounts
New Walbro fuel pump
New battery
NGK spark plugs
Thermostat and housing seal
New Metric Mechanic single mass flywheel conversion
Starter
Stage 2 Gripforce clutch disk with Sachs BMW 325i throwout bearing, release fork
New Koni shocks
New shocks and strut mounts all around
Clarion stereo with bluetooth and iPod/iPhone connectivity
Vogtland Springs
Real Euro analog clock
All electronics work as they should
Turner motorsports ECU chip
Working instrument cluster
Brand new catalytic converter
Magnaflow muffler and cat less exhaust pipe
Since I have owned the car:
New Sumitomo Doral Tires (all four)
Replaced front driver & passenger seats with newer, working, reupholstered seats
New fog light lens L&R lamp cover
New front L&R grilles
Fixed glove box and ECU trim panel assembly
New 14" basket weave wheel center caps
New brake master cylinder
I have new Bosch brake pads and discs for the front
