        Started the swap today,

Replaced the seals on the trans, and replaced shifter bushings. I also purchased the z3 shifter.

        Pulled center cluster and pedals

Also removed exhaust bolts from headers. Thankfully no broken bolts yet!
Many thanks to my buddy Sharino for all the help/work on the swap

Hope to get majority of swap done tomorrow. .. more pics to come.

Don't you just love working in the footwells? I just did my pedal bushings and thought I was gonna die. Looks like a pretty good PDR job on the rear quarter.

            argh, footwells are the worst.
            Little update

            Got everything out today, exhaust/autobox/shifter.

Finished the shifter rebuild, and the last transmission seal. (Needed a special socket)
Mounted the flywheel and clutch/pressure plate, and swapped out the centre bearing on the driveshaft with a new one,

Trans and driveshaft are ready to go in now,

Is it ok to delete the vibration dampener on the driveshaft? I hear it gets in the way with the Z3 shifter. Any issues with this?

I see the light at the end of the tunnel!

              Excuse the dirty car...
              But long story short,
              The Car is now Fixed!

Very happy i did it, as it totally transformed the car. Honestly think its the most enjoyable car I've ever driven. I was lucky that my car already had an 3.73 LSD Diff on it, now it will finally get some use out of it :P

I'm also really glad i upgraded to the z3 shiftier, and replaced all bushings, Shifting is nice and tight and precise.

All in all the project took me and my buddy about 15-16 hours, and was able to complete it on a pretty low budget.

Couple of shots from probably the last drive of the season :(
                              Summer will be missed.

I picked up an eBay exhaust, I was actually pretty happy with fitment. I Need to do some minor adjustments still.

If someone had a picture of where the exhaust mounts to the car pre cat it would be appreciated. I need to figure out what Im missing, as the 5spd has a different mounting point.
