    Idle problems

Buddy of mine is working on an 88 vert. He has fixed all the vacuum leaks and replaced the maf. Once the car comes off high idle it surges up to 2500 rpm. He is wondering if it is a bad ecu.

Clean and check the ICV. That was my culprit when I had idle problems.

FWIW, he most likely has an AFM instead of a MAF. It'll help when you go to search. Do you guys have a Bentley manual? It can help you trouble shoot.

He for sure fixed all the leaks? Did a smoke test? To me it sounds like there is a lot of air getting in from somewhere thats not the AFM.
