so how do you control concentration of wealth? tax it away?
the federal and state governments are so pervasive in every aspect of business that i wonder why people bother to start their own. i'm self employed and am responsible for 5 other employees wages. my tax return is now about 40 pages long and $1000/yr, and i don't do anything special to avoid taxes. i want my life as simple as it can be in some ways.
singapore is trying to get to the point where it takes 10 minutes over the internet to open a business. what if we did something similar, actually embraced capitalism and rewarded business owners for taking the risk of starting a business instead of punishing them. maybe the middle class would have a path to greater prosperity?

as far as the correlation issue, i've witnessed a lot of it. what i see is government invading every aspect of our lives and the issues you're passionate about getting worse. don't know if you're old enough to remember LBJ's war on poverty. huge amount of taxes spent and no result. just one example.

the only political/economic scenario i know about where the fewest control the majority of wealth is where socialism is practiced

      It won't ever happen.

The majority of the population just wants to go to work, clock out and not have to concern themselves with their job after hours.

Of course, many of these same folks will never understand what it means to make decisions that affect large amounts of peoples livelihoods, and will continue to believe that ALL CEO's are paid too much..

      But what ever.

What is that point for you? When the middle class ceases to exist? when only 5-10 people hold 90% of the wealth in this country?
Look at how the family run farm is quickly going the way of the woolly mammoth. Mostly due to the actions of the Federal Govt via the EPA, and the Corps of Engineers though attempted grab by regulation of surface water control. Hell there are places where its been argued by the feds that they can sue a farmer because he has changed what he grows in a field, and didnt clear it with the feds 1st. Corporate farms are much larger have army of lawyers (and lobbyists) many dedicated strictly to legal compliance of various ever changing and multiplying regulations usual from people who know little to NOTHING about what it is they are regulating.

Most big company's in any industry have an entire division of lawyers devoted to regulatory compliance, and entire legal firms are devoted to the same endeavor selling their services to the smaller guys. If you cant see that this type of "intrusion" is designed to push out smaller operations to allow the biggest few to gobble them up your blind. If you think that our economy is "properly" functioning now I have ocean front property in New Mexico I would LOVE to invite you to purchase.

Cite your source that the decline of family owned farms is due to the EPA and CoE, thanks. I'm sure it wasn't declining before the EPA was created in the 70's :)

I agree that compliance with some regulations can be onerous and it really depends on the industry--I asked him for specifics, because he was complaining about intrusion into his business of selling financial investments.

I read it, twice in fact because I looked real hard for where any of it relates to direct questions that I asked you.

And then I remembered you're not interested in an honest conversation, this forum is just a toilet for you to shit your opinions out and hope that nobody questions them.

wow, that's a pretty strong reaction from someone that doesn't really care about what I say.

Hillary has always been a non-starter.

While I don't agree with Bernie's ideology, he appears to have the most character and integrity (as much as any politician at this level can have, and still remain a pol). I am basing my decision on this alone. I think I am going to vote for Bernie and simply deal with the SC nomination(s) as they come.

Its funny how you think its a Joke some of us wanted someone who acts honest and professional as a leader.

Meanwhile half my friends and family fell inline behind a joke of a person who lies to their faces, to which they accept as facts. Accepting someone they didn't want as their leader only because he was "A Republican". Meanwhile the dude hires sociopaths and idiots for his cabinet, Talks about draining the swap then fills it with the same people.

You were rallying behind a man who never held a job his entire life. He lived in a commune and was kicked out because he was too lazy. The man accomplished nothing in his entire life yet you treat him as if he is the messiah.

Stephen Bannon is a brilliant man who is the farthest thing from an anti-semite. Andrew Breitbart was a Jew, James Pollack is a Jew, and he opened a bureau in Israel of Breitbart so that they had a media voice. And he is the furthest from "the same people."

You really believe everything the MSM feeds you, don't you?

it may be difficult in Bham to get a different view than what you are saying, but seriously dude, you really need to read anything, something that disagrees with your viewpoint, just to see the other sides opinion

the mainstream left tilted press did the country a disservice this pasr election by presenting only one side of Trump, the negative side, and only one side of Clinton and Bernie, anything they could report that was positve.

The TRUTH is somewhere in the middle for all three. Trump is not a madman, Bannon is not as the press makes him out to be, Hillary is a complete criminal, and Sanders is in essence a communist.
