Trading in my Volvo for a F30 3 series?

So I have had this Volvo xc60 for less than one year. i am thinking about just down sizing it and the F30 328i is pretty practical. Although i will miss 9 inch ground clearance. What else would you consider ? it must have warranty.

Keep the volvo, or downgrade to a different model in their lineup. I haven't been in one of the newest generation but my family owned a couple in the 2008-2012 range and they were lovely. I much preferred them over the 435i I had as a loaner car while my Z was in the shop.

I've daily driven a 240 wagon and it wasn't that bad. Refreshed seats and an AC make it doable.

              Gas mileage isn't that bad.

I'm currently looking at E46 M3's though because I just moved to LA last week and my family is taking the 240 back as they need it for home improvements. :(

But if you really want something modern, I'd look at the P2 S60R 6-speed with good maintenance history.

I really like the f30 I bought for my wife. Granted, it's a 320I, but my wife didn't need the extra HP, and the $7000 price jump to the 328 was definitely not justified. It gets damn good gas mileage, smooth on the highway, and handles very well stock. Little more road noise than I'd hoped, but that's at 90mph...hah. I'm sure back stateside it won't be an issue. I'm not a big fan of the LCI models, 12'-15' CPO with extended warranty is what I'd suggest

It's worth noting, the M-sport package is an absolute must have. I got it simply for the seats, but the steering wheel, lowered ride height, and staggered 18"wheels are nice. Lighting package is totally worth it too.

Then this is probably not the forums for you. You realize this forum caters to the e30, not f30, right? There's about 30 years of difference between the two models.

Get the f30 328i, you will not be disappointed in its daily capabilities! It's fun, its quick, its smooth. Just get rid of the run flats it comes with and you're golden.

I need something I can use to drive Uber. Im leaning towards a 2013 jetta sportwagen.
