    Yes, it's simple and effective. Maybe if you are going to spend an hour peeling stuff it might be a problem, but the edges of the handle are nice and rounded.

    Agree for the most part, which is why I purchased that style of peeler as I knew it to be highly effective, and this one surpassed my expectations set by those older units.Of course, it's not as if we lack quality tools today, but you do have to spend a fair bit to get them, which can be difficult for some in our price sensitive world.

    While it is true that I could have found one for $.50 at a sale I would have spent a heck of a lot of time finding one. It should also be remembered that yard sales are not as fruitful for the type of stuff we could use as garage sales, as is going further from a metro area for your sale hunting.

    Also bought some epoxy at the local hardware store to fix a cracked tile and some cracked plastic bits.
