    Early model dual fuel pumps

Planning on refreshing the fuel system in my 85 325e with S50 and #24 injectors. Have any of you early model guys:

-Converted to a single Walbro 255 in the tank?
-Upgraded the external pump to something that flows a little more?
-Or is the stock external pump sufficient?

Any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated

I ran the stock pumps with no issue.

I have an early model and am planning on ditching the second pump and replacing the in tank pump with a walbro.

Im thinking about running a walbro gssl392 (255lph) as my external and leaving the pickup pump.

Stock would be fine for a stockish setup. I have an early model with a Walbro in place of the external pump, but I didn't need to upgrade until about 350hp.

So you had the Walbro and stock lift pump?

I have an '84 318i that I converted to a single pump using these two links:

              here

              and here

Works like a charm, haven't had any problems with the TRE pump.

Thanks! I just ordered an accumulator from GPS. Going to run that with the dual pumps and replace the external pump. I might bump it to 255lph.
