Good question about the diff .
I'm pretty sure all of the Mtech's like this were offered as autos .
Those would have came with with the 4.10 LSD but if this one has a 5-spd swap then it could also have been changed to a 3.73 at the same time .
But then again there is the off chance that this is one of 1 ot 2 cars that actually came optioned with the 5-spd .

Changing the t-belt at 30k would be a good idea since the car and belt are at least 14 years old at this time .
Its not just the mileage that you need to worry about but also the age of the belt .

And how can you say that $10k seems right for an Mtech when you just showed that you don't even know what an Mtech Vert is ????
I know what an mtech vert is, by the way this was stated, it sounded to me like it was a 325Ic that was converted to an mtech. If it is a true mtech, then great it's worthit. Thanks for the positive on the diff question, I didn't feel right until I knew you approved! Any pics of the engine bay?
    Yours truly,
    Rich

low, low miles + excellent condition + rare (extra rare with 5 speed) =
great value at $10k. New, they stickered higher that the E30M3 & are way fewer around

92's had the zip in rear window, easy DYI to replace. Griot's leather rejuvinator on the leather - 4 hrs. work, look like new. Is the power top operational? Add these to the equation and see if he has service documentation from new.................. It's a steal even for you cheap guys!

        That is a sexy beast.

I would say if a t-belt sits for a long period, it would be worse than driving on it past 60k...

You will get $10k for it, just not on a forum full of broke college kids!!

This is a 64k M-Technic cabrio in AMAZING condition. Just because you can't afford it doesn't mean you need to sit here bashing the seller. This car will fetch its price, it just needs the right buyer.

It's a manual top. I only know this because I've seen the car in person.

And I don't believe that they have zip in rear windows. Mine didn't.

I slowly read all the way through this thread about a bunch of bullshit. Its good to know all this stuff but its not allowed. Its cool to post facts about a car but this guy is trying to sell his car. He doesnt give a fuck if you think its worth his asking price. Think about how much bullshit that is, imagine a bunch of people doing this to a fs thread youve posted about selling a car. Come one guys. There is some cool info in this thread but still.

Only natural for people to give opinions, sorry if this is not the place. Afterall it's not about what it's worth but what someone is willing to pay for it. I am curious to see what it sells for though.

Cause personal attacks are a great idea..... especially when you have no intention of buying this car.

I suppose it probably won't sell to anyone from r3v, but I thought it was a good idea to get the word out. I've got it listed on autotrader and a few other places. I imagine it'll sell to an older driver with a decent job that wants a car his date/wife will want to ride in but still wants a car that drives like an e30.

It may go to a collector that believes when e30s are older and more appealling to the BMW crowd, a low mileage, basically stock car with these options will be worth something. It'll may sell to a guy like me who wished he could buy one new, but didn't have the money and had to wait to find one in really great condition for a lot less than the $38k new price. When I bought it (a few years ago) I could have bought a new civic for about $15-16K, but thought a clean old school bmw was a better way to go.

It may go to a guy like me with no gararge, a wife and kid, no time to work on a car and a lack of skills to restore a bmw that probably took a team of trained, experienced bmw factory guys to build right the first time. Someone who doesn't want to have to go through the hassle of gutting a car and replacing everything before he has a nice car 4 years and $10-20k later.

The 5-speed, m technic kit and 3.73 lsd are all original. I don't have any pics of the engine bay, but imagine a stock 325i that has never been detailed (with cosmoline), but has never been molested either (no ebay air filter here). I need to pick up a couple of small parts from the dealer and will try to get a build sheet while I'm there.

I do have the service records along with the original manual, etc. The reason it drives better than new is that it drives exactly like a new car (no squeaks, rattles, etc.), except it has a bmp chip, 16" kumho ecstas, stainless uuc rkII knob, z4 2.5 ssk and a uuc 2.0 clutch stop.

I appreciate all of the input, etc..

There is some confusion about the whole m technic thing and I'm not an expert. There is some good information here: www.e30ic.com

AFAIK, in 1991, bmw offered less than 250 e30 "m technics" (not 325ic's). They included; the m technic bodykit, lowered suspension, 15" rims, m technic grill and trunk badges, m tech door sills, interior badging, evo cloth centers in black leather seats and leather trim on the lower dash, near the door handles and near the shift lever? Most (but not all) of these were sold as automatics (with a "sport" dial?) Because of their limited production, these cars are very rare. These came in approx. 3 colors (none of them white).

In 1992, bmw sold a special appearance package for their convertibles 325is that included; the m technic bodykit, 14" body-colored rims with polished lips, and the e36 style leather handbrake cover as well as body-colored leather seats. I've only seen these with the white/white/black combination, but have heard that they sold black/black/black cars in the US. I have not heard of an official production number for the cars sold with the appearance package, but they are not that hard to find. Personally, every one of these I've seen has had an automatic transmission (except for the one I've bought), but I don't know how many were sold this way. I believe that these (the '91 and '92 cabrios mentioned) are the only cars offered in the US with the m technic bodykit.

Also, the top of my rear seats are not torn and are not repaired, but I don't have a pic (but can get one for anyone who is serious). I'd of course prefer to sell this car to someone who can see it in person before committing to buying it. It's in great shape, but it is 14 years old and not perfect.

The m technic trunk badge is original (but not to my car). I paid about $50 for it and it was pretty hard to come by (NLA). One guy said that the only way to get one was to find a totalled m technic that someone was parting out.
