    s52 Sedan Built Up.

Hey there I have had a build thread in the 24v section for awhile now, but I thought I would make a cleaner one here for those of you interested.

This is when I first brought the car home, when trading my old car away I got to keep my wheels, tire and adapter set up. (Which is now all sold)

And here is when the blown m42 was pulled out and the bay got cleaned up.

The radiator was just disgusting, so I gave it a good wash.

Then began when I went and pulled my s52 out of my wrecked m3 I got in the trade for my old car.

Then while waiting for parts like e34 oil pan, clutch kit, throttle cable, mounts, etc. I began getting carried away on getting the sub hooked up, stereo wired in and started my interior project. Here is the sub going in.

The interior is where I had a good amount of fun, I really enjoy making a clean interior. I knew I wanted sport seats in this car so I picked up a rough set for $75.

And then I drove a few hours from home to retrieve a clean passenger seat for $100 and it came with leathrique repair kit. So I decided to give that a go sense I had wanted to order there product when budget allowed. Here are the results.

My next project will be using the e36 arm rest because it looks so good just sitting in there.

I will be sending out my wire harness and ECU to Dave and Rob at Markert Motor Works this afternoon. And hopefully will have my interior all together tomorrow, along with the engine being dropped in towards the end of this week so I will just be waiting for my harness and ECU to return to me.

My wheel search has fully begun today.

15x7/8 4x100, 16x7/8 4x100 OEM+ look, open to options though. Will buy local or shipped.

After I figure out how to plumb my FPR for OBDII I will get that done and then next up I will be dropping the motor in and begin waiting for my wire harness and ECU. Can't wait to drive this car!

Dave Markert has been a great resource for my swap. I got my harness done there and was able to get a bunch of other swap parts from him as well.

          And I missed it... You're running the s52 OBD2?

            UPDATE 6/17/2013:

I got the motor bolted in yesterday! Feels like a big step even though instal was very easy. Took about 15 minutes with me and one other guy helping.

Also I tinted my tail lights red. I think it offers a cleaner look.

I fixed the cigarette problem I was having, I had pinched a wire under my driver seat.

Going to work on the paint on the trunk lid some today, as well as space my pass. side motor mount about 3/8 inch to give exhaust a little more clearance. As well as make the driver side sit a tiny bit better.

Thanks! I have been trying to find wheels and a guy local to me in the Everett area is selling knock off wheels.. now I have never been a fan of a fake 3 peice wheel, but these are BBS RS knock offs for $480. What are your guys thoughts? They would be polished lip with a silver face. Or I am going to pay $700 for some Enkei 92s off ebay.

                  Update 6/20/2013:

I have my power steering reservoir mounted and my lines ran. I have the line coming from the rack hooked up to the small port on the reservoir and the big port has a hose running to the bottom "inlet" on the power steering pump. The high pressure line runs from the top "outlet" on the pump to the top "inlet" on the steering rack. Hopefully this is the correct way.

I shaved the fins off of my intake manifold and it clears my brake booster by an 1/8 inch.

                  And lastly I ordered Enkei 92 15x8 +25

                  Thanks for looking!

Hey been awhile sense my last update, I was busy with getting the car in good enough shape to daily drive and move back to college. The car is up and running good, although there is a lot I want to do on the car still before I would call it finished. But it will be a slow task gathering parts with my college budget. I hope to do some maintenance on the motor when I go home for breaks. I have about 1k budgeted to put into the car. And then I will have to wait until I can get another job.

Anyways onto some pictures, props if you read my ramble.

And for good fun a picture of my old car I sold a friend, who then wrecked it drunk driving. Luckily no one was hurt. It was a 2004 STi with light mods done, all by myself.

                    Thanks for reading guys.
