Hi, I know... ive heard it before, its the worst way to go about turbocharging a car.
That said, Im having some problems. Im running 5psi boost. AFR's are like 12.5-13 in boost untill 5500 rpm. 5500rpm the car seems to misfire, AFR's go super lean (like 15-17). I put in a set of NGK bkr7e's gapped to .024 and then .020. Didnt help. I got a set of NGK 4091's theyre gapped to .025. It not a fuel pump problem. I just installed a walbro 255 and a new filter. It doesnt run out of pressure it maxes out my gauge at 100psi. In boost with decent afrs, its seeing about 75-80 psi.
I have the center screw set a hair over 50psi at 0boost and afr is about 13.2
When the car misfires, it flashes the CEL and the code is apparently 1215 which is a air flow meter fault.
Any ideas?
Thanks
I also did a few tests. I took the wastegate sprig out. The car runs totally normal. AFR's are 13.6-13.7 and voltage from the narrowband o2 sensor is 0.85 to 0.87
