It has to be this one- the one I got from the junkyard looks totally different. Apparently it is an anomaly with the rear locks on 91 e30s. HALP!!! And given the difficulty of this mess, I will not want a used one- I never want to do this again. NEW!!!

I see, so you're worried that even though it's the same part number, it might look or be different and not work? Not sure why they would issue a different part with the same number (of course that's what GM did with the cobalt ignition...). That page does show three part numbers for the same part. After having swapped out every actuator in my Cabrio (yes it was a total bonehead move that caused it) I can tell you the bodies are all colored coded.
They also have an over center cam in them so if you cant move it by hand after removing it then its probably toast.Seat Shocks....I have passed the baton to John Christy from Ninestitch. Email John or Garrett at ninestitch1@gmail.com
