    H&R OE Sports, What Shocks???

Well ive decided on OE Sports, I feel like the sports are going to be too stiff and too low for our shitty LA roads. Plus I still want to it to ride half was decent since its my DD. Im pretty sure the handling will still improve over the stock worn of springs.

Before I order Im trying to figure out what shocks. I going to get Bilsteins, but Im wondering if the Heavy Duty ones will cut it since the car is only being lowered slightly.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks
    90 Bronzit 325is (I <3 my e30!) RIP. Best car ever.

Old thread, but did you ever choose a damper? I'm thinking Konis would work well...

Koni shocks (set at most 1 turn from full soft) or Bilstein Sport shocks are compatible with those springs. I personally think that the Koni shocks are the better choice
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I would have said Bilstein HD.

I would have said Bilstein HD or maybe KYB on a budget. The OE's don't drop it much. I would factor in your tires in the eqution as well. A shorter/stiffer sidewall might make some shocks/struts feel harsh on bad roads and vice versa. An adjustable strut is nice but more spendy.

I am in this same market right now. Per a thread I started earlier I have come across the choice to buy Koni STR.T's. From what I understand: Bilstein's ride harsh and are expensive, koni sports ride better but are expensive, Koni STR.T's ride better and are cheap.

For a daily driver on OE Sports with no plans for any type of racing, seems like the perfect choice.

Bilstein HD is intended for stock or slightly lowered cars but they are heavier valved than say a Bilstein Touring or Koni str. I run the Tourings on an 87 4dr with those same springs and it's an excellent combination.mtight enough to have fun but not so firm as to be uncomfortable ever.

I ordered this setup for Alice today. Since I also have a 4dr w the same springs and Bilstein Tourings I'll do a side by side. Both cars sit on BBS 16s

The STRs are on back order but will not effect ride height so any pic of an e30 w OE Sports will look about the same
