    window weatherstripping question

I need to replace the window weatherstripping on my '91 vert since the stuff I have is chipped and cracked from 25 years of Arizona sun. I've checked realOEM and came up with the part numbers:

    realOEM Link

On that chart I need 9 and 10 for both doors, although I can't find part numbers for the rear rubber weatherstripping...

When I search for the listed part numbers on pelican and ecs, I'm met with $25-40 price tags each.

    Pelican Parts Link

    ECS Link

Is this the only game in town? On many products I see an MTC or other "aftermarket" replacement that is significantly cheaper than OEM with presumably similar or same performance. Am I stuck spending $120 on window rubber? really?

when I bought them they were about 20 each from bavauto.. so 80 for all four

Window seals for these cars and most other cars have always been expensive.

MTC is chinese made stuff and usually (closer to always) the quality just doesn't compare. I'm all for aftermarket parts but MTC or URO stuff just pales in comparison with other brands.

Very expensive to replace theses seals on E30's. Spent $50 dollars just on the rear windows seals for my e30 Vert.

I spend close to $200 for these for OEM...

I replaced all of mine last year with OEM. Expensive, but worth it on an otherwise clean car.

cant you get a coupe one and cut it to match? I was just looking at the inner window weatherstrip the other day. Seems like you can modify a coupe strip to fit.

Pretty sure the coupe ones aren't much cheaper either.

To the OP...7&9 are for the REAR windows. Yes it says door but ignore that. I've done this twice and if you look at the diagram again, those seals are physically positioned behind the vertical window seal, hence the rear.

The door seals are not in that diagram but I have an inner left in my hand and the PN is 51211942821

Also note that the inner rear (#7) has a J lip at the front to curl around the leading edge of the deck lid so a seal from any other model will not work.

                          Weather stripping

I need this piece on both sides, but cant tell if its the same in the parts illustration. Does anyone know if this piece with the flat curved end is available ?

I've never bought any of these pieces for my vert, but I think part #7 in the RealOEM link in the OP is the part you are looking for. Maybe someone who's replaced those pieces can verify.
