Install E36 rack. BAM! done.

One of the nice things about power steering on the track is that it also reduces
the hit your hands take when you pummel something like a curb-
the shuttle valve doesn't care whether the turn force is coming from the
steering wheels or the rack, it just tries to do what the steering wheel is doing...

Not a legal option in a Spec E30.

Some think the Z3 is quick to the point of being twitchy. Stock e36 rack is great IMHO as well as cheaper and easier to find in a boneyard

I figured that was the case in your car.

I have a regular e36 rack in my car and it feels right to me. The stock E30 rack is really slow, you get used to it if it's all you drive but switching back and forth between my cars really highlights the situation.

With the E36 rack in, i don't feel the need to go quicker (Z3)

My Citroen was 2.0 LTL and there is a limit to how steady you can be in a DD, especially if you still have a pulse. Turn to talk to a passenger or sneeze & you can find yourself in the next lane...lol
